Canoeing Loch Ness

I was really worried the days leading up to this excursion. I wondered if I would have problems getting into the canoe or just being able to sit in the canoe for the two hour tour with my bad back. But as soon as we arrived I was excited to see that the canoes were tandem together for greater stability and that I could climb into the canoe from the shore (and not have to lower myself in from a dock).

In Your Element’s 2.5 hour’s Canoe Explorer tour (£40.00) was safe, fadventuous, and enjoyable. Although we didn’t see any monsters, it was a beautiful day in the Scottish Highlands. Everything was provided – canoe, buoyancy aid , and a dry bad for your valuables. Our guide even had hot tea and biscuits (cookies to us Americans) when we took a standing/walking break on the shore of the loch.

TIP: Contact your tour company ahead of time to inform them of any requirements you might have. I always let them know that my PLUS size frame needs a larger life vest.
